About The Role
Do you like making social network apps a safe and enjoyable platform for users to connect with each other? We are looking for a Content Moderator who will help promote a safe, authentic, and accepting environment on the platform. You will be accountable for applying the partner's community guidelines to content submitted by its users. This role involves monitoring and identifying potentially harmful content, assessing whether it complies with the guidelines, and filtering out anything inappropriate. This will consist of independently and manually reviewing a high volume of items in the backend.
Important Note: Bear in mind that you will be exposed to potentially offensive and disturbing content.
What you'll do:
- Quickly and accurately making decisions on text, images, and videos submitted by platform users
- Banning users when appropriate, according to guidelines
- Escalating sensitive content to management when necessary
- Accurately documenting the reasons for your ban decisions on the user’s profile
- Participating in Product calibration meetings related to Moderation with Management
- Supporting management in identifying trends and newly banned terms
- Reporting discrepancies or bugs to the Team Leads and upper management
- Reporting backend UI feature requests or bugs to management
- Assisting with training new team members
What we expect from you:
- Education
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent experience in the same field
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience
- Previous experience in content moderation in T&S is a must
- Minimum of 1-year experience in content moderation T&S
- Familiarity with NCMEC reports and TechCoalition’s industry classification system is a plus
- Familiar with CRM tools
