The Role

This Sales Associate role is required to support the day-to-day operations of the Educational Enterprise Sales Team and a connection to the technical support team, and management. The Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting, educating, guiding and resolving important customer needs. You will process quotes, new orders, and renewals for Final Draft’s studio, university, K12, and non-profit institution subscription software, and serve as the first point of contact for technical support and billing issues. It will be a fast-paced and independent role, and you will need to share a passion for delivering custom, personalized solutions that solve the problems of customers.

As a Partner Hero Sales Associate, you will be primarily responsible for managing communication with educational enterprise clientele, writers, instructors, and procurement teams for both existing accounts and new business opportunities. In a typical week, you will be expected to manage numerous conversations with high-value POCs, provide quotes, manage relationships, process orders, update information, and engage with prospects through email marketing outreach.

A Sales Associate is resourceful, patient, helpful, technically savvy, and friendly. You will need to become an absolute expert on the Final Draft software and the services offered to quickly and comprehensively handle user questions and concerns. As this role will involve working across functions and with our VIP clientele, you should be a natural networker, self-motivated, highly organized, and an excellent communicator, with a keen interest in the entertainment industry.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Help new VIP customers with troubleshooting web orders, help existing VIP customers activate their software or guide them to upgrade online, and assist in resolving other sales-related issues, particularly in managing bulk orders
  • Engage with high-potential customers through a variety of communication channels like emails and Zoom calls while creating strong, authentic relationships, solving any problems that might arise, and answering their product-related inquiries 
  • Actively engage potential new relationships with VIP clients by invitingly selling the product by highlighting current features of the product and enhancements soon to come
  • Provide users with advice on how to best achieve their professional goals by leveraging the product, and identify potential value propositions for users, including product upgrades
  • Maintain and track customer information in Salesforce and Hubspot, and be able to actively maintain and update a high-quality database of contacts and sales information
  • Troubleshoot basic technical problems on the platform while working with the customers to identify and confirm the issue, and understand how and when to hand off issues to the Technical Team
  • Display ownership of assigned projects outside of traditional Customer Support duties and get involved in other areas of the business where opportunities arise
     

What We Expect From You:

  • You are focused and understand the importance of effective, warm, professional, and timely communication, and excel at both oral and written communication
  • You have an excellent background in Sales, consisting of at least 2 years in a Sales position of some form, and you have the ability to soft sell and introduce products and features subtly and reliably to hit sales targets as part of a white-glove service
  • You have a strong understanding of Customer Service, are empathetic, and act as the main point of contact for VIP clients, providing personalized assistance and ensuring their needs and requests are met
  • You will be responsible for maintaining client relationships to achieve personal sales targets and related KPIs
  • Experience using Salesforce and Hubspot. Ideally, you also have some familiarity with DocuSign and/or Sage MAS90
  • You possess a measure of tech-savvy beyond that of an average tech user can immediately identify browsers and operating systems, and are comfortable troubleshooting very basic tech issues. You can learn new digital platforms and software with ease. You have good knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, with iOS being desirable, but not essential
  • You can easily determine all the necessary details to troubleshoot user issues and blockers through skillful questioning and utilize various tools to assist in that process
  • You are self-motivated and can self-manage. You display ownership and are capable of seeing both day-to-day tasks and larger projects through to completion with little oversight
  • Experience or interest in screenwriting, filmmaking, or the general entertainment Industry is a huge plus. We’re looking for someone who has high attention to detail, great multitasking skills, the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, assertiveness and a strong sense of accountability, and high adaptability, savvy, and openness to learning new skills, along with professionalism and dedication required to properly handle high importance clientele
