The Role

We are building an AI-powered data and workflow SaaS platform to accelerate building decarbonization. Our platform allows for streamlined discovery, application, and ultimately end-to-end management of incentives and financing. With a small team and in only one year, we have built out our core product suite, closed dozens of contracts, been accepted into multiple accelerators, won multiple awards, processed millions of dollars in incentive funds, and attracted top tier venture capital investors. We are now rapidly expanding across the nation.

As a resident expert on building decarbonization programs and policies, you’ll guide the development of impactful software that lowers the cost of home electrification. You’ll work with a diverse, mission-driven team committed to solving climate change, with significant autonomy to shape the product roadmap and company direction. This fully remote role allows you to live anywhere in the continental U.S. and play a key role in scaling our efforts.

What You’ll Do:

• Be an expert on building decarbonization policy and programs, with a focus on incentive programs for residential retrofits 

• Play a key role in defining the company vision for new industry standards for incentive program design and implementation 

• Assist in ideation, design and implementation of new and innovative products and features, informed by ongoing analysis of technology trends, policy developments and customer needs 

• Assist with business development and go-to-market, including the design and execution of pilot engagements to test and demonstrate our product with customers and key stakeholders 

• Assist with the development of partnerships, including strategic and channel partnerships, to support our go-to-market strategy 

• Interact with and support our customers to answer subject matter related questions and maintain an excellent customer experience

• Collaborate and influence program design and implementation strategy at incentive providers and regulatory agencies 

What We Expect From You:

• Self-starter with strong growth mindset

• Excellent oral and written communication skills 

• Experience with utilities, building decarbonization, or climate tech

• Skilled at project management, including relationship management, cross-team collaboration, implementing tracking infrastructure and proposing and maintaining processes

• Attention to detail & highly organized

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills 

• Proficient in text editors, data manipulation apps (Airtable / Retool) and spreadsheets 

• Adaptability, flexibility and collaboration to work in an early-stage startup environment

• Empathetic team player interested in building a culture of trust and collaboration with team members and customers

• A professional network that includes utility, contractor or incentive program implementer contacts

• Experience using SQL and Python
